Adult Learning
We offer a variety of courses and programs, including Book Club, Hebrew classes, and Torah study, as well as those exploring topics such as modern ethical challenges, Jewish history, and cooking.
The CBS Adult Education Committee meets periodically to choose topics and plan programs. They draw from the talent of our own congregation and the community at large to lead the presentations.
Torah Study
At CBS, we value questions. We believe Jewish learning is not about having all the answers; it is about entering a conversation that has been unfolding for generations and finding your own place within it.
Whether you are new to Torah study or have been learning for years, your voice belongs in the conversation.
Book Club
Book Club meets bi-monthly at a member’s home to discuss a novel in an informal setting. We read old and new books, usually featuring either a Jewish author or a Jewish storyline.
