My congregation loved Aimee Ginsburg Bikel’s presentation on her late husband, Theo.  Ms. Ginsburg Bikel brought wisdom, compassion, and great Jewish warmth to our community as she talked about Theo’s legacy.  In these turbulent days, her core message—which Theo embodied—seems utterly essential: we can be proudly, particularly Jewish and also care very deeply about the wider world.  Theodore Bikel was quintessentially Jewish and, at the same time, a lifelong human rights activist.  This was a  joy to remember and re-experience.
