Dear Friends and Fellow Members of Congregation Beth Shalom:
I am very pleased to report to you that CBS has officially signed a lease to occupy the building located at 849 W. 96th Street, Indianapolis, beginning January 1, 2018. The initial lease is for a one-year period with options to renew at the end of each term after that. As many of you may recall, we had services there in September and offered a tour of the building, as well. Since then the Board has been working hard to negotiate the lease and finalize all of our insurance needs. Both of these jobs are now completed.
From January 1 on, our religious school classes, most worship services (except for the High Holidays and the coming Tu B’Shvat Seder), meetings and most other usual CBS events can take place there, effectively combining our use of University High School and the MPB into one single spot. Henceforth, we will refer to our new building as “CBS”, “Congregation Beth Shalom”, or “the Temple”.
This represents an important move for us. CBS is taking the next step up in its growth. We can all be proud of this wonderful new place to call our Temple and our home!
